RSS Staffing is hiring for the position of Youth Worker II for a community based option facility in Bainbridge, OH.  This facility is for boys ages 15-18 who have been adjudicated delinquent by a juvenile court in Ohio.  This is an excellent direct hire opportunity!

Position Summary:

Youth Worker II will monitor dormitories, chaperone to meals, school, recreation, group sessions, etc.  This position is concerned with the implementation of the facility’s established treatment program, with special emphasis on promoting a healthy peer community under the direction and guidance of the Dorm Manager.

Education and Work Experience

  • Associates degree in Human Services or a related field and 2 years of experience or combination of higher education and experience equal to 5 years or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.  Degree may be waived for experience.
  • CDCA required or obtained within 6 months of hire.  (employer pays for certifications and licensure)


40 hours per week (2 days off mid-week, will work weekends initially)  Hours are 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for knowing the facility’s peer management, safety, and security policies, procedures and practices, and is able to adequately execute and is pro-active in the development and review of such practices
  • Implements crisis intervention policies such as time out, physical restraints, assault prevention techniques, search policy, A.W.O.L policy etc. as required
  • Communicates with Dorm Managers any safety and security concerns in assigned dormitory
  • Ensures all rules are being followed and expectations met through consistent enforcement
  • Assumes an active role in assuring the completion of daily peer group activities
  • Implements level system and point and privilege system as designed
  • Primary provider of daily youth supervision under the guidance of the Dorm Manager and Youth Worker III
  • Responsible to assisting in the completion of various client centered tasks that assist in the assessment, treatment and progress of individual youth via communication with the Case Manager and Therapist
  • Provides group facilitation on a daily basis within the dorm to which they are assigned
  • Provides daily supervision of the youth in the facility
  • Interact with all  youth in assigned dorm to ensure completion of assignments
  • Maintain regular and consistent contact with the Dorm Manager, Therapist and Case Manager regarding concerns and progress
  • Coordinates with the Case Manager and Youth Worker III in the development, implementation and review of the youth’s individualized service plans
  • Assists in providing information for quarterly reports and documenting the progress of youth in treatment
  • Provides individual support to youth
  • Provides documentation of daily observations in Total Record
  • Participates in treatment team activities.




Salary: $13.50 per hour
